Navigate the 5,317 Acres at Vail

Kids Ski School at Vail, CO

Those of us who work at the Ski & Snowboard School consider it a dream to wake up and go to work each day. Many of us grew up on the snow, and this legendary mountain is part of who we are. With 5,317 acres ready to explore, navigating the mountain can be intimidating whether you are a beginner or have been skiing and boarding the same runs for years. Spend a day with us, and we will take you wherever you want to go depending on your goals.

If it’s your first day at Vail Mountain, we know the best beginner areas to hit up to build your confidence, and we can show you the places you might not know about like warming huts, Adventure Ridge - THE place for kids to have the best day ever - and Game Creek Bowl, which has runs for all levels.

If you’ve been doing this for a while, let’s roll from the front-side terrain with its long steeps and perfect grooming over to the moguls that are off the beaten path and legendary among locals. When you have us lead the way, we can do all of that, tour Vail’s Legendary Seven Back Bowls, then sail through Blue Sky Basin all in one morning.

After lunch (don’t worry, we know where the best barbecue is), let’s find some powder stashes. Runs like Shangri-La and OS feel like backcountry runs, and if you have been skiing or boarding for a while, you really need to try them. We’ll even have you talking like a local by the end of the day - you’ll know what I mean when I say “6 to 10 to 14 down Ghenghis to 21 down Shangri La up 21 to 22 for a Dealer's Choice pow run to 37, a lap on 38 over to 39, the spur to 21, Blue Ox then home.”

We hope to give you a tour soon! Come in and say hi over at the Ski & Snowboard School.
