2. Grab a Bite and Warm Up: Need something tasty in between runs? All our on-mountain dining restaurants are open including Eagle’s Nest Marketplace, Powerline Pub at Mid Vail, Buffalo’s, Wildwood Smokehouse, Two Elk, The 10th, Dawg Haus, and more.

3. Plan Your Runs and Play it Safe: We have 100% of our terrain open! This includes our seven Legendary Back Bowls and over 5,300 acres of terrain across the mountain. Your safety is our top priority. The NSAA Skier Responsibility Code applies to all terrain, so please respect all Slow Zones and closures. With fresh powder on the way, it might be tempting to duck ropes—but remember, our Ski Patrol sets these boundaries for essential avalanche control and safety measures.

4. Keep in Mind Pass Restrictions: Restricted Peak Dates are days when certain Epic Passes have restricted access. During President’s Day Weekend, Epic Pass restrictions are in place on Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16.

5. Other Après-Ski Celebrations: As the sun sets on another unforgettable ski day, Vail offers a lively après-ski scene. Here are some of our favorite spots:

Vail Village

  • Express Lift: 10th Mountain Whiskey Tastings, signature après cocktails, European beer-hall vibes

  • Vendetta’s: Legendary slices of pizza and plenty of beer on tap

  • Cucina: mountain-comfort cuisine with a laid-back and family-friendly atmosphere

  • Two Arrows: Consistently serves the highest quality coffee, beverages and fresh local provisions

Lionshead Village

  • The Belle: Lionshead’s one and only gourmet grab and go for coffee, pastries, and more

  • Tavern On The Square: Inspired by contemporary American culinary sensibilities, the Tavern culinary team delivers a global artisan “craft” riff on fusion cuisine

  • Garfinkel’s: Lively sports bar with can’t-miss nachos

  • Alpine Pizza: Local’s spot for Detroit style slices with a crispy cheese edge

6. Where to Park: Plan your arrival and parking based on your skiing or snowboarding ability. If you’re a beginner, head to Lionshead Village and Eagle Bahn Gondola (19). If you’re a more advanced beginner or intermediate skier or rider, head to Gondola One in the Vail Village. The Town of Vail offers a convenient and free shuttle bus between villages.

7. Capture the Moment: Don't forget to capture your adventurestag@VailMtn for a chance to be featured on Instagram!
