Spring Break at Vail: Adventure, Après, and Alpine Bliss!

Vail Apres All Day Winter 2024-2025 Event

Get ready for bluebird days and après on repeat. Whether you're visiting for a few days or a week, Vail is your ultimate spring break vacation

Ski and Ride our Seven Legendary Back Bowls: From intermediate to advanced trails, our Seven Legendary Back Bowls are accessible through groomed runs and off-piste terrain. Grab your spring break squad and take a photo in front of our Legendary Back Bowls Sign, located at the top of Mountain Top Express (#4), High Noon Express (#5) and Northwoods Express (#11). Ready to explore further? Check out Blue Sky Basin, your chance to adventure the backcountry in-bounds, with open meadows, steeps and trees, and stunning 360 degree views of the area’s surrounding peaks.

Plan Your Runs and Play it Safe: Our frontside lifts are now open until 4 p.m. daily. We have 100% of our terrain open, which is over 5,300 acres across the mountain. Your safety is our top priority. The NSAA Skier Responsibility Code applies to all terrain, so please respect all Slow Zones and closures. Always ski or ride with a partner within viewing distance of you.

Looking to Hone Your Skills on the Slopes?: Our Vail Mountain Ski and Snowboard School offers private and group lessons for all levels to help build your confidence, advance your skills, and have fun on the slopes. Whether it's your first time on snow, or you go every year, check out our offerings with our expert instructors here.

Grab a Bite and Warm Up: Need something tasty in between runs? Check out Vail's on-mountain dining restaurants. On a perfect bluebird day, dine outside at Dawg Haus in Blue Sky Basin for delicious bratwursts in a picnic table setting. Looking for something indoors with a view? Head to Two Elk at the top of Sourdough Express (#14) for a variety of delicious options and a biergarten with large windows to soak in the sun rays. Interested in something more upscale? The 10th restaurant in Mid Vail, located at the top of Gondola One, offers an elevated experience with premiere on-mountain dining cuisine. Reservations for The 10th are recommended and walk-ins are welcome

Dine with The Dogs at Henry’s Hut: Located at the top of Mountaintop Express (#4), Henry’s Hut is the place to be on Sundays between 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Grab an early lunch and meet members of Vail Ski Patrol and their avalanche dogs.

Head to Express Lift Bar for these Après-Ski Events: Express Lift Bar is known for its 10th Mountain Whiskey Tastings, signature après cocktails, European beer-hall vibes, and live music events. For the following dates in March, Express Lift Bar will be having live DJs between 2 to 5 p.m.

Avanti F&B features two bars and five unique food stalls including Mediterranean cuisine, Japanese ramen and sushi, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and more.

Vail Village

Lionshead Village

Where to Park: Plan your arrival and parking based on your skiing or snowboarding ability and where you’re headed on the mountain for the day. If you’re a beginner, head to Lionshead Village and Eagle Bahn Gondola (19). If you’re a more advanced beginner or intermediate skier or rider, head to Gondola One in the Vail Village for the quickest way to the Back Bowls. The Town of Vail offers a convenient and free shuttle bus between villages.
