Drones on the Mountain
Drones & Your Mountain Experience
This mountain is like no other, and to ensure our guests and employees are able to make the most of their time here, Vail Resorts does not allow the use of drones by the general public.
This ban, including recreational users and hobbyists, includes drone use for filming and videotaping on or above Vail Mountain, regardless of whether you are operating the drone from within or adjacent to any of our Resort or ski area land.
Interacting with Drones
- Whether or not the drone is airborne
- Direction or area of flight
- Location last seen (including markers, tower numbers, etc.)
- Whether drone is near a chairlift, gondola, or other critical infrastructure
